Dance for Recovery.

NHS Wellbeing and Recovery college is a school of courses available to anybody in the community who is recovering from mental and physical illness or from a life changing event. I ran once a week courses on different days that lasted 4-6 weeks depending on the term. Classes were inclusive, with a focus of joy, rehabilitation, socialising and gaining confidence. During this time in the NHS I also had the opportunity to lead dance classes and workshops within secure mental health facilities, as a part of their recreational activity. I was interviewed on BBC Radio Shropshire to talk about the impact of dance for your mental heath.
